when i opened my eyes this morning -

besides I have a hemlock tree
right outside the window
trees talk & it's helped me out
the conversation yesterday concerned
the use of materials to hand
the hemlock's name is 3zu
and 3zu asked me if i had ever read
in Miller's Tropic of Capricorn the passage
where he writes " Facts had little importance
for us; what we demanded of a subject was
that it allow us opportunity to expand. "
so i went & read it
and right then & there
i was hurled off in a new direction -
i said Hey! 3zu! Thx!
he replied "no problem"
hemlock pine cones r small
and its seeds tiny
but each hemlock
has hundreds of thousands of them
the big mature trees
have ga-billions

I read somewhere
that the colective uncounscious nowadays is encripted in English
(the first reaction was organize some anti-globalization march in my mind
but I decided it was not necessary)
no idea where I was circulating these weeks
but the landscape seemed very thought-crowded
and only in Spanish ...
to crash or not to crash
what do childs knows about it?

i think i lost one over the antarctic
or maybe tierra del fuego
i used to travel with elephants
but it got to be too much
food and water and all that
& when they die what do you do?
digging a grave for an elephant
is a lot of work
especially if you're on the move
so i switched to whales
for food these guys suck tiny little weenie animals
and plants out of seawater
and when they die
they just float away to some far shore
or sink to the bottom of the ocean
it's an easier gig all around
the cops wouldn't let me file
a missing whale report
or put out an all points bulletin either
cops - they put on that uniform
& something happens to their mind
especially here in Gringolandia seems like

to reach an audience
especially in a bar

most poets are still undecernable
they shouldnt read in bars
libraries or bookstores
would be better places
for them
its a damn near impossible
act to pull off
unless u take it to the edge
