setting new records

Post by saw » November 22nd, 2014, 11:18 am

what have I learned today ?
it's a fair question to ask yourself
lest you just spin in the mud of advancing years
your wheels turning, in place of living.....
is my mind stagnant, my body seems to be

decaying before my eyes, if you believe
in a holistic approach doesn't matter which goes first
you're fucked either way, so why am thinking
about Grace Slick today, I hear her telling me
to spread the gospel, Feed Your Head

Why am I worrying about my young friends
with all the problems I have, that need immediate attention,
why do I meditate on the all the ways you can kill
a mind, the merciless temptation of 900 channels
that promise euphoria, but deliver time-activated poison

it's the perfect crime, imperceptible lethal doses
I know you have thousands of movies to scroll through
so I won't take up too much of your time, but that new game
World of Endless Violent Assault, well that game will eat your soul
quicker than a psychotic beaver on methadrine

I get it man, we come from different eras

you were born addicted to electronic heroin
and an endless supply of dirty needles, but hear me out
always choose the book, or choose nothing at all
you should try it, being still
it's not a bad thing young friend

wake up tomorrow
and be still, try it !
every day try my radical alien plan
be still young brother, listen to your heartbeat...
then every day try to beat your personal best

then try to beat that time the next day

make it a game
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

No comment to add anything. I'm just nodding that I agree with you and like the poem.

Maybe one thing to add not apropos exactly to the subject though.'

quicker than a psychotic beaver on methadrine

there is a movie out or will be about titled "zombie beavers" Seriously (not too seriously though)

Here is the link (I hope) to the trailer
