we threw football
round the trailer
like kids
that reminded me for some reason
of something i've not thought about
for a very long time -
(talk about spirits - man, this is a trip)
just rewatched yesterday the movie Stand By Me -
it put me in mind of that time
growing up - right at the cusp where
you go growing out from boy to growing into man
the first steps anyway -
and today i found myself thinking of that time
those moments -
- i had a rich fantasy life as a kid -
didn't realize i guess until now
just how rich & inexhaustible it was -
that moving-through-and-forward-spirit
taking-note-of-the-changes
in case i might have need of remembrance some day
in a different light -
wow - i'm losing the thought even trying to voice it
yup there it goes
gone
mingo out
jam on

i'm immersed in Dr. Sax -
holy wang fang buck!
had it downloaded to my kindle
two day ago on a whim -
never read it
didn't know anything about it
just wanted to go where i'd never been
and - holy wang fang buck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :!:
seven words into the first paragraph
and i was a long gone daddy in the usa
W-T-F ...
I was to chapter 5 before i knew it
and had to go back to the beginning
because me and this book are
eating each other alive -
- Holy Wang Fang Buck :!:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzai1_IngqE

what would the Khan have done with this?
it's not the 12th century any more
my beloved Mongolia has come to the future
and the future i think
better stand to hell by
we all come
from so many different places
it's a bonafide wonder
the earth don't tip
right to hell off it's axis
rolls royce in the snowfields of mongolia
but in the song i hear something -
the mongolia of the ages
of the Khan
of the Horde
of ponies
and goats
and gers
and herds
and nomads
and horse people with
the milk of mare's on their lips
the spirit & blood of the place
i can hear it powerful in this contempory piece
beating in the music
beating on the music
beating thru the music
somewhere down in my soul
i think the Khan would have approved
because the world
may have forgotten Mongolia
but Mongolia
has not forgotten
the world

or maybe it's just the romantic in me 8)

Dr. Sax has been spotted for the first time
moving out from underneath the bridge -
- from a funeral to
chilling with the kids
is a shift & a half in consciousness
better keep a sharp eye
wherever you are 'cause
Dr. Sax is on the move

got a date with
an angel
takin a break monday

a man of extremes
i b seeking the beauty
in everything i see
including change
not talkin bout
nickles and dimes
just grey and silver
moving into blank
unknowns
like snow blowin across
the steppes
as we moved our herds
and shot those arrows
in other lives
no great walls could keep us out
for we knew how to walk along them
with no regrets
yes, with no regrets 8)
