I knew there were short jams,
two-page jams, three-page jams,
jams on pancakes, peanut butter & jam,
but I had no idea, other than this perpetual
thread that there was a S8 jam a year ago!
Just about did a backflip off the tip
of my toes! Lord knows, but I didn't know,
no no no.
Scroll back 50 pages, maybe 100
out of the 223, and i was here, too,
yep, that was me, jammin' on for what
i thought would be an eternity,
but it really was on constantly,
'cause there's a difference between
forever and constant, yanno,
just ask my neighbors when they
blast their damn radio
for hours and hours and hours
while cleaning their garage.
Thought it'd never stop but finally it did.
Constant, not eternal, WHEW!
Shoulda placed my bets, made a bid,
but didn't.
Maybe I'll write a piece called
the Killjoy Squad!
That oughta go over big.
Make no miss take about it,

Ain't it great? There was a puddle I couldn't cross
and a band of supermen came and laid down their
capes like a bridge and now I'm all giddy with glee,
feeling important and all that, like somebody cares.

Now I have some time to paint
myself into a gallery.
I have 3 paintings in the works
which need to be finished and
someone commissioned me to
paint another, so I'll get started
since now there's time, time being
all we have and I don't have much
left, I don't think.

Plus I got a gift card for
Christmas which lifted my spirits!
I used to buy two huge canvases,
5 feet x 4 feet, what a treat!
I'm on the brink of breaking
out, giving the world a shout about
imprisonment. I'm gonna be in bliss,
no masochist here, paint paint paint
and lift weights, too.

Nothing new, but it's all brand new.
Sounds like a dichotomy but it's not.
I knew you knew that. Gonna give it a
shot, create some masterpieces,
maybe write a novel or a thesis,
go visit my boyfriend, Gym, build
up my guns and washboard abs.

Y'all won't be able to keep tabs on me.
I got love letters rollin' in, too.
Nothing new, but everything's new.
