woke up
into a dog fart
this morning
icicles on a budded twig
that's the time of year it is
my mind makes
a crossroads of itself
drinking first coffee
grey sky
pink & orange where
the sun is
crow on the top
of a hemlock tree
way across the field
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

serendipitous I should drop in here
just at this moment
just in this mood
and read your jam -
sometimes it's all too much
or too little with poets
sometimes I can't even stand myself
when I do it -
when it comes down to it anymore
I just wanna stick with the short-form
no slick word dances
no cleverness
no drum rolls
no on the one hand and then on the other hand horse puckey
or maybe I'm just gettin' old
and don't have the two shits
to give anymore
just want to get a bike rigged out
for 'ku hunting and let
the roads
and the trails
lead me where
they may

when playing
percussion

in motion

even on the 7 seas
sailing....sailing...over the waves
or walking along the shore
some of my best daze
spent shell hunting
driftwood gathering
moving with natural motion
we have within our
physical being
someday i just wanna
head outta here and
hit the appalachian trail for
daze and daze and daze 8)
