Losing weight

Post by Doreen Peri » April 13th, 2015, 5:42 pm

He decided he needed to lose
ten pounds in order to be fit,
but he had to do it quick
so he self-decapitated.

It was too late to think
about it, and impossible
after the fact, but he
lost the weight,
ain't that great?

Just the facts,
calculated.

Now, he feeds his head
with garlic bread
while it sits upon
the shelf. His brain
was thinking this
weight loss plain might
earn him a bit of wealth.

So he bought a website
called loseweightfast,
only fifty bucks to join!
This rapid weight loss slice
won't cost you too much coin.

Instructions within.
Go ahead and begin!

.....

(a 2-minute poem...videos available on his site. )

I've heard of self immolation, but.....self decapitation seems just as extreme....don't think there will be untold riches with this approach....do you think Grace slick was talking about garlic bread when she sang, Feed Your Head ?....hmmmm.....and I doubt if she was suggesting you place that head on a shelf.....can't get a head that way.....maybe that's where the the phrase "shelf life " came from...thanx for the stimulating poem... was this right brain or left ?
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

For some reason, I thought it was funny. I don't know why. It's really dumb.

Yeah, I was singing "Feed your head" in my head when I wrote it. And I was thinking about the millions of dollars blown on bogus weight loss plans.

And I thought about the fact that the head weighs 10-11 pounds .....of course there are those with swelled heads and we've all known a few of those, but... I don't know. I just thought it was funny. Add to that the decapitation videos in the news and all of a sudden, I had a silly poem I thought was funny.

There's only one healthy way to lose weight, by the way. There are no shortcuts.

People need to eat a healthy diet and exercise, expending more calories than they intake. It's that simple. People could actually eat fresh fruits and vegetables all day long to increase your metabolism, and walk a 2 or 3 miles a day and they'd drop fat. Lifting weights (even your own body weight via calisthenics.... like pushups and pullups) assures maintenance or increase in muscle strength, size, and definition.

Cut out junk food (which includes cereal except for oatmeal), remove sugar from your diet (no sodas... no donuts, etc) ... eat primarily fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats (unless you're vegan or vegetarian, then you need to get your protein elsewhere) and healthy fats which are very good for you, such as avocados.

Pardon me, but I guess the Personal Trainer in me is coming out and the nutrition certification.

I don't know how to advise the fat heads (those with inflated egos) other than to refer to the dumb poem I wrote above. :D

That's up to you. :)

I'm trying not to eat so much bread, myself. I gained 10 lbs and can barely get into last year's shorts which used to be baggy on me. Now they're tight. I've been eating too much bread.
