The Dancer In The Rain

Once long ago I see
Myself and I dancing in the rain,
Now it is unfortunate
How many find it insane.

Yet I hear the pitter patter
Upon the tainted rooftop calling
"Come out now and play,
For soon I shall stop falling!"

And oh how I am tempted to go
If only to find the happy part of past
Where and when he was never home
And my prayers that it could longer last.

But here is timings of naught
For there's so much to do inside
And a voice keeps calling louder now
Whilst I force the emotion aside.

I repeat to myself over again
How much I feared childhood memory,
How long it took me to regain it all
And to stand up for everything I believe.

Oh but to dance again in the rain
Makes my heart begin to race
The hopeful romantic that I am
As natures tears fall upon my face.

I am whole in my heart
I am fierce in my mind
I am calm In my soul
I am renewed in all I seek to find.

So therefore I shall let it go
No longer needing to be plain
I the hopeful romantic
I the dancer in the rain.
