time going by

Post by the mingo » May 22nd, 2015, 8:17 am

where's the muse?
blooming the blues in a cool jewel
too much or not enough
the fruit of fools
swooping low
proving the nudes
use the tool
a broom moves things around
but can it be true?
old radios hide a village of tubes
inches to income
jiminy cricket's forest of missiles
so many places no longer exist
all the broken things
are giggling up riddles
zen bend foo & the rising of the ducks
don't want to be accused of introducing
more wrinkles or even being a tank commander
in the land of rippling zippers
i'm just a keyboard cutie
arm-in-arm with time going by
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

the muse set loose
avoiding the noose
that strangles the ox
the long vertebra today
exalts in feeding off prey
that stays behind the fray
like "zen bend foo & the rising of ducks"
shattering their world of made belief

what is it that brings us joy in words
sticking to our ears as we hear the pulse
within... bip... bip... bip... bip...flip!

many thanks for this el mingo, it's been a long dry trip...

somehow I missed this..that's why I go back when I can...to see what I missed..glad I did

really great sounding poem, it's lyrical and sounds great read aloud..ala beat-ish

I think this style suits you well....tho the diminutive stuff is also very nice...

it's good to switch it up I think....I try not to become a one trick pony....if I do, please tell me

cheers, el kabong
