weaver of fragments

Post by saw » July 21st, 2015, 1:03 pm

there are too many words in my head
piling up in the corner like odd socks,
disparate articles that normally would not
be worn together by anyone concerned with ridicule

but I am not afraid to wear blue with brown these days
walk down the street with signs that say kick me
surreptitiously stuck to my back, ticker-tape & confetti
is not being thrown from open windows, only tsk-tsk pianos

Hey look ! ...there goes Mr. Magoo !

my poems are built from leftover parts from an ikea box
twisted together like strands of dna, compressed
into stanzas from lingering debris, forgotten memories
I use what I find in the hamper, remnant surprises

from a disjointed life.
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

heh, trying to wrap my head around the image of tsk-tsk pianos . . . being thrown from windows? But that does seem to fit with Mr. Magoo, who merrily goes on his way, despite it all, through it all . . .

I like the "grab-bag" style. I used to write it at times, some of it quite off-the-wall. Some of it's buried many pages back right here on S8 ...

Sounds like the thoughts in my head
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.

Love it! Terrific imagery, phrasing, and metaphors. You, sir, are a poet!

Really? Word for word? Very odd.

Hey "long123" ... are you a former member of S8 using a new screen name? If so, what was your previous screen name. Curious minds want to know. I'd love to read some of your previous posts.

And yeah, what gives with quoting mnaz word for word?

so....long.....are you a sophisticated bot ?.......are you an artificially intelligent entity that has decided to infiltrate poetry sites as a means of taking over the world.....what say thee ?

have you been sent from another planet to learn the habits of humans by repeating their comments ?.....perhaps it's time for you to use your new poetry skills....lay a few metaphors on us ....it should be easy as 123

are you a reincarnation of one of the fabulous poets that left this earthly world, certainly Lrod wouldn't copy someone...or Dino....I'm quite sure

So... in the future I would appreciate any comments about my work to be original thoughts from your own head

ah me....so many mysteries here in the cyberworld.......
