One-seventy ?! I hit a hundred-ten one time. That was fast enough ...
Out in the Great Wide Open, it's funny how the locals pronounce barbed wire as "bob wahr" ...

mnaz - sorry mark, meant to address your response - the car was a modified Dodge Challenger. It was not my car & I was not driving. We were headed for the Custer national site in the valley of the Greasy Grass aka Little Bighorn River -

Re: Montana @ 170 mph
I was driving a stock '89 Mustang 5.0 drop-top.
The pavement was kinda rough, and I wasn't sure about the tires and front suspension, and, well ... it was a drop-top ... I backed off.

Re: Montana @ 170 mph
the road we were on was two lane blacktop, freshly done - the owner had not only modified the engine but also the suspension & steering - that Challenger was nimble, quick to answer the helm & very firm riding - the road you're describing sounds like you were pushing the envelope in that pony of yours - damn cowboy !

Re: Montana @ 170 mph
120 is the hardest I ever pushed any of my own vehicles......and that was crazy on roads out in the country...aah but when you are young, you are invincible...can't imagine 170

Awesome!
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.
