rain storm just rolled thru
wind - lightning - thunderboomers - downpour !
moving fast - too fast
was down by the river
saying Bring It On!
she's gone on over now
and the sky is still overcast
no sun allowed to heat everything
back up again
77 degrees down from a 100
Hell Yeah, Mongolia !

Jam on me
Rain here
Temps in 60's
Ahhhhhhhhhh!
Diggin it
Festival in the streets
Soakin out here
Me in jojos bar
Sucking down screwdrivers
Lost in a day off
Tryin to find the words
Jam
Search
Whatever happened to it?
1stthought rules
Fresh mind
Protein fueled
Adrenaline rushed
But oozin slow
Lost in mind clamber
Rolling along
Rambling mindset
A good thang
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

trouble with direct experience
is having to use secondary
and even 3rd party methods
to translate it onto a page
or as my R.I.P. half-breed uncle would say,
"putting a multi-dimensional, even round, event
into 2 little dimensions"
what is lost in this process
is huge chunks of everything
we call the resultant mess poetry
and praise it -
our poverty knows no bounds
but it doesn't seem
to stop anybody

Spearience
Shakin'
Earthquakin'
Thinkin' bout
Heading to key west
I dunno
Just wanna warm the
Coals
Change the art scene
Make Ernest Hemingway faces
And welded palm trees
A vision
Mind visions
Supposed to be chickens
Runnin' loose down there

A different breed
Of chickens
Island bumpers
Straight from Cuba
This place ain't Hemingway
Packed little island
Ghost beneath
I feel it
The spook
The 90 miles beyond
Fidel beckoning
Come comrade
Fords, Chevys, plymouths with fins
Sharks swimming with Tommy guns
Che, immortalized
On tee shirts
Ferlinghetti at 96
Coney Island minds
Flirting with disaster
Mercurial
San Francisco a peaceful port
Little paisano oasis
Up and down hills
Lock that emergency brake
Eat that doggie at the diner
Float out over Alcatraz
Like the birdman you were
Meant to be, or not 8)

some folks got chickens
running round up here
i can take the world
on its face
but that don't mean
i believe it
been cutting wood
the past couple of days
mostly from the trunk
of a huge maple
can't get a good count on the rings
cause they went after this tree
with chainsaws from five directions
one section shows 112 rings my count approx
with another two feet of trunk to go
course ya couldn't count all the way there
cause the core is rot & gone
my best guess from what i can see
this thing began growing
sometime 'tween the revolution
& the sending out of Lewis & Clark
anyways, cutting wood
i like cutting wood
