Autumn Nirvana

Late September leaves shed
reddish yellow orange

mums huddle together nightly
like purple dying soldiers

the chattering of field sparrows
has changed

These sad fragments of autumn
do not belong to me exclusively

out of respect, I will soon forget
my name
