the zoo

I've heard it said if you repeat a lie
often enough you begin to believe it's the truth,
but c'mon I didn't just awaken from a long nap
with my buddy rip van winkle, and I wasn't
just rescued from from a tiny isle with a beard
down to my knees, No...I have eaten your regurgitation
like a baby bird in a nest of hopeful citizens
over and over and over again, seen your giant heads
for too many years to fall for the 3 card monte
yet you republi-can'ts and demagogues,
keep trying to convince me
that you are the party that cares about me, hell
I never even got an invitation to the party, so
don't look for my rsvp in the mail, and how much
of that hush money really went to the things
that you are now taking credit for, No, you only
flash the cash when it's time to run the race again,
You can't even see me, can't see the costs of living,
can't see the stagnant wages rotting on the vine
Wake Up, We're Not Doing So Good !
YOU BOTH STINK !...this is second rate theater,
B Movies with phony looking monsters flying on strings
You Sir....have an Elephant Sized Ego, and
You Madam Have a Tired Ass Dragging the Ground
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Maybe a no vote is a vote ......I usually vote for Ralph Nader ....at least he talks to me on a one on one level...... Seriously though we've chatted it up 3 times at union station in DC 8)
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

I endorse this message----good poem that speaks to the political scene.
The Irish Sea Is Always In Turmoil, Even When Calm.

I hear only weird vintage noise
(like the one Perón & Galiffi could be making
while drinking Dr. Lemon in stinky heavy glasses
with too-much-greasy-asado fingers)
& some more or less energetic shouts saying
that we are already part of new routes.
On the road to votation
(no idea what kind of smoke is in the air)
buzzy reigns & both
indignation & ideas
seem to be drained.
