"Damascus"

Post by leafsailors ghost » February 24th, 2016, 6:13 pm

It slips past like quicksilver
on a midnight run
race the moon light across the desert sands
turn the dial for the direction
slipping low and silent follow the highway to Damascus
the old half track growling across the sands below
the window in time open now
the last man standing
waves goodbye to us
as we fly past.

though there is a last man standing, there are no winners at war. only a trail of death along a road covered in blood.

those that are able to go home must relive the horror in their nightmares.
When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak. ~ Audre Lorde

Yes , The space craft is fast enough, it is passing through the time of ww1 . We can see the truth of the crimes against one another, viewed from a distance it is easy to see the agreement between the parties to engage in combat by arming themselves to the teeth. It is a compliance with treachery against their families.
