but not the humidity
airwater
nothing dries out

towels
t-shirts
socks
wet yesterday
wet today
break a sweat
just toweling off
after my shower
oh well
dog and I did our morning hike
now off to class
then maybe a swim
national weather service says
maybe relief by tuesday
maybe

I wasn't born on no bayou
but in springfield mass
firstborn to my proud mom
mary
yup that's her name
so while you're ridin' that graveyard train
with a bad moon risin'
lend a little creedence
to what little suzie q might be sayin
write her a little poem
lather with a little jam
tell her it's from the mad hermit
of sandy holler
and give her a little kiss
tell her
it's from me

you can slice the atmosphere
with a knife like warm breaded oxygen
the invisible wall is real enough
the heat index tells you little
about the reality....hydrate people
just keep on a drinkin that water
like it's going out of style, one after
the other....it's a bitch out there
code red of today is worse than the code
red of yesterday.....the dogs in the AC
the squirrels are in the leaves, the birds
are hiding close to the water
mama earth is blowing flames
from her lips orange and red
supercharged to show her dissatisfaction
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

may your wiring mend quickly

Stroke ? Dodgammit man you can't just throw a word like that out there without some kind of adjective to go with it - if you can say so lay out what's goin' on with you ?
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

thanks for the update
take good care button up your overcoat
u belong to us and we need you for the long haul

my big brother had one when he was 80
he is back on his motorcycle, back on his bike
back in his mustang
took him a couple of months to recoup

he is 84 now still living the good life

you will be too.

I been thinking about 'the light'
all kinds of light
bicycle lights
think maybe I need to get some more
out on the road at night
I see rabid dogs in every headlight
sung to the tune of "Willin" by little feat

still willin

sending powerful healing vibes to Mark
Wireman we love you, your spirit lives
here in the poetry zone family of S8
and beyond the electronic to the flesh
and bone, let us know how we can help you
when the time is right, when the planets align
enough for you to speak your mind, this
is just a setback, not a final word by any means
I hope you are in good hands my brother,
in Wisconsin and in the universal swaddling
I hope you hear the voices and prayers
that echo across the planet like travelers
in time, and soon you will be sculpting
and writing and working and making art
in ways even better than before, keep
the faith, you are not alone, you are loved
and thought of in the deepest ways one can
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Please take care of yourself, Mark. Sending you healing energy!
Sorry, I can't write poetry any more. If I could, I'd write you a poem.
