You've kept the word all these years - now may the word keep you - thinking about you - i'm still riding the Tug - the evenings have turned cool, they even have an edge of early chill the last two days - seems almost alien after all the summer's heat ...
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

shout out for the wireman
don't mean much

just words, so where can we find men who forgot about words

about to head out
see some hot shot Hopkins bladder guy
I'm weighing the options in a world of
histiolic variances and plasmacytoids
it's all Greek or Latin, or Gobbledygook
to real people that worry about kids
and bills and friends like the Wireman
but what else do I have, a little
of this , a little of that, I will listen
to all the talking heads with their own
agendas, then toss the balls in the bingo cage
and wait for B-17....might do nothing
might just roll the dice see how it all plays out
most of us are of the age here when things go wrong
or at least surprise us, wake us from our dreams
of youth....so let's stick together
raise the banners, sing a new fight song
rah rah...check out my pom poms
toss me in the air end over end
try not to drop me on my head....sending
healing vibrations to all the poets today
tomorrow is another day
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Flash back to Johns Hopkins Hosptial back in the forties
sheep grazing on lawns so they would not have to waste gas for lawnmowers because it was need for the war

Underneath their fine incisions. Stirs the Culprit - Life! Underneath their fine incisions. Stirs the Culprit - Life!
but what else do I have, a little
of this , a little of that, I will listen
to all the talking heads with their own
agendas, then toss the balls in the bingo cage
and wait for B-17....might do nothing
might just roll the dice see how it all plays out
pardon a personal ramble
this old age ain't for sissies
my Diamond Lil been much on my mind
I listen to the doctors talk about "calculated risks" they might be able to save her but at age ninety is the cure worse than the disease. Can she even survive any heroic efforts or will be just pain and suffering and a lingering?

just thinking out loud\
agendas might include a boat payment

I hope there is still one doctor at The Hopkins that still practices the art of healing.

Walking and talking
jamming and climbing
doing the walk of life

climbing that mountain
playing it safe
who knows

Maybe St Jack was wrong about mountains

jamming on you
climbing
ever round
higher
drive on

It is hard work on the comeback trail
but I believe you will comeback as much as you want
play it safe
keep on playing

yep ladybugs & all
the crows are calling out over the river
sun is rising or is it that we
are turning ?
whatever difference that might make
if any -
i took out four green flies sitting here last night
not all at once just one at a time
sniper-wise
... it may still get into the high eighties
during the day but the nights
are getting cooler
much cooler
and the jam proceeds apace -

the walker's cool
it's all about the movement
the flow, the shower
of water over the head
the flow of molecules
to the feet, the hands...
water over the mind, streams
of life meandering back
into the crevices of the conscience
movement, the flow...the re-flow
water of life seeping
into the GO, the jam
of resistance, the jam of dragging
toes, the slow flow back, back to basics
back to square one, wiggle dem digits
fire dem synapses ....GO GO GO
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
