my night train

Post by revolutionR » August 26th, 2016, 7:12 pm

come on take a hit
off my night train

as we stand here
in the neon rain

and speak about tears
that will never
quench the flames
sing your little song
another sip of night train

you don't have to feign
disdain at my cheap wine
it's not the wine

it's the name, like that train
in the night going down
the silver track of no tomorrow

one more sip of resignation
and the poem goes down easy
as we stand here in the neon rain

8) ...good to see you around again rabbit
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Places to write poetry are not too happening, I was on a site called poetfreak that just went down, there were a lot of poets on there but the owner of the site did not protect the site since I went on there and a troll wrecked the site.Sites to write poetry are very rare, and the few out there have really bad formats as far as I am concerned. Or as on Algonquin's table
the owner and his thug gang of "critics" that think their poetry site is a regime. The wild west days of Litkicks and any sites where poetry is at home seem to be in decline. Studio 8 is like a last outpost.

Guns N' Roses

"...loaded like a freight train
flying like an aeroplane
feeling like a space brain
One more time tonight..."

those guns and roses lyrics
would go well with my late sixties novel.

this time I was kicked off of Algonquin's table for spelling words wrong.
apparently.

Judih, poetfreak had all kinds of poets, a lot of teenage girls and twenty somethings and there were poets of all ages, most of the poetry was young poets writing love poetry, but there was diversity too, there were some poets I liked, but the troll was so annoying that most of the poets I liked left the site. On Algonquin's table the owner condones a person that pretends to be some kind of critic, but what he does is really troll like, because he tries to always find fault, if i tried to say anything to defend myself I was attacked, that site is like trying to write poetry in a poet police state. Studio 8 is a very well made site, the format is great, I just would like it if there were more poets.

hi craig - no doubt, the roar and zam of litkicks with its huge array of minds and talents
was a goldmine.
where are all the beat poets?

some died. some left the net. some left poetry.
some haven't found studio 8, yet.
