Delphi |ˈdelˌfī|
One of the most important religious sanctuaries of the ancient Greek world, dedicated to Apollo, situated on the lower southern slopes of Mount Parnassus above the Gulf of Corinth. Thought of as the navel of the earth, it was the seat of the Delphic Oracle, whose riddling responses to a wide range of questions were delivered by the Pythia.

Interesting poem. As a southern boy ,who could now care less about football ,thinking about maybe a hockey team in a poem?. Made me think of when football was so mysteriously wonderful for us , my son was a kicker , a good one in high school , the moon was full on a Friday night , the world was perfect , he won the game at the last moment ,we all were just so wonderfully ,innocently, happy, .I think I got the poem, if not then I will say it did get me .
