Looking for that tangent
kissing the circle of life
that crystalline clear moment
when love is understood
the simple reason for grace
but then it is shattered
breaking cascading crashing
into splinters of dark reality
shredding the music into noise
the hollow grinding relentless sound of war
the sharp tight eyes of hate
recognized on sight
the bloody money mountain
gleaming in the sun
the cities of hell
quietly answers the night
empty ,thirsty , hungry ,
who does this child belong to?
so you see this echo empty internet poet
reaching
who are we
This Child
Re: This Child
capitalism, especially disintegrating capitalism is the polar opposite of love, and all the really wonderful aspects of life....humans are so resilient, we find our niches of joy despite this hovering beast that drains all it can for a buck...I won't assume this what the poem is about, but will say that this is where it touched me...I am an old man....my children ( all children)
are being handed a big fucking mess....but I have faith they will fight to restore some of the beauty....or even more

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Re: This Child
I really became a poet because what I saw happening in the world, as a teenager I felt that the education system was all wrong,I wanted to put my feelings into words, to speak my mind, not the mind they were trying to brainwash me with.
