It is a hidden text
slipped in from the stars
printed in the desert sands
in shifting lines of time
seen in shadows cast
at the end of day
the blood rose golden, colors play
the evening turns the page
fire light proceeds to write
the Green opal eyes sparkle
as they read the dancing shadows there
voices in thin air
magic chants of three
open hidden doors
in mountain valley walls
we weave a tapestry
of knowledge
time and kingdoms
in the visions dancing
the shimmering pages open
in my book of dreams
I will close my shadow eye
to swiftly journey deep
go traveling out
on the wild sweeping plains
of endless time
then sailing home
on return
whisper what I find
Wrote this when I was a young one about sixteen or so .chuckle I still remember feeling like a poet then , isn't that what it is about? I remember my old man smiling and giving me confidence ,now I know a little more about that smile , but the memories are still good .
Note : howdy every one I have been busy putting an old electric guitar back together , it is an old fender knock off but the pickups are amazing and the neck is just beautiful , the plate the pickups are on is steel, I rewired it and polished the steel up I put brass knobs on it , it looks like a steam punk thing the sound is wonderfully funky with a tremendous retain. any way just got it all back together so as to say ,I have been real busy, I will be reading your poems glad to see every one
peace

Liked the poem, it reminds me of my early poet days, I can always vibe to the mystic gypsy poetry. Also it does sound like a song.

Your poem is alive! Love the imagery... Hard to believe you wrote it when you were so young. That's wonderful!
What a great project rebuilding that guitar. Keep playing!
