poetry and nature

Post by revolutionR » November 2nd, 2016, 10:15 pm

poetry is good at describing the beauty of nature
but if you look at it the other way around
nature is not as good as describing poetry
this is because nature holds secrets
and poetry would reveal secrets
nature poets only write about nature
but poetry can never be as hidden as nature

I never could write as good as the poets
that influenced me, but their inspiration
made me want to try to learn from them
however that I might be influenced
I would never want to be identical
or even surpass

I find it easier to write of poetry
then to write poetry itself
or as I think about poetry
and the words follow
sometimes it becomes poetry

I cannot imagine that a poet would ever
write like words already know what to say
or rather I see the poet as a kind of explorer
of how many different ways words can be found

I was always interested in the God of language
and meanings of the book of the dead
because language is nothing if it does not
take us to the land of the dead
and here nature begins to show her hidden secrets

this is where the stars shine brighter in the night of time
deep in the unconscious subterranean chambers of earth

i like the connections drawn...i'm sure i have written more poems about the process of writing than any other subject....it's a topic that constantly streams through my head at any given moment ....and if there is a pen nearby. lookout..... 8)

you may end up where you are heading
