these are the times spoken of
in poems written by mad poets
everything is turned around
the sun becomes the moon
the clock becomes the ocean
the card becomes joker
what is true and what is false
the war becomes the crime
black becomes white becomes black
a shining ball of meaning or lack of
this is the time the magician
makes the coin spin on the table
so we can't tell if it is heads of tails
we don't know who is who, why is why
the rain will cry, we live or die
or what is what, what we see
is what was hidden from us
out in the open, we either see
or we are blinded to what is hidden
yet we are distracted by unfolding
events that play across our eyes
in a profuse inducement to mess
with our senses, scapegoats galore
we are either aware or dumbfounded
we are either floating or grounded
this is the time spoken of by mad poets
these are the days that are broken in half
these are the words that show us what is
real and what is not, they are the art
that speaks to our wild natures
and lets in our deepest feelings
these are the times spoken of
my mad poets
these are the times
Re: these are the times
Fuck a bunch of mad poets ! Seems many of them have gone gloom-&-doom-O-woe-is-us-God-have-mercy- ... P.U. on that - we've gone Nixon-Ford-Carter-Reagan-Reagan-Bush-Clinton-Clinton-Bush-Bush-Obama-Obama- and what, another Clinton ? ... the nation has survived all these folks & I have no reason not to expect to survive this one too, even twice if I have to - I woke up the day after the election still breathing and so did you, how many times have you had to take a piss & wipe your ass since the election ? Yeah, me too, and all that is working just fine now, ain't it ? Presidents & congressmen & senators are nothing but weather, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are the climate and our duty is to them - I've heard this same kind of poor-us rant in more than one mouth since the election, riots over it no less
p-lease - from the looks of all of this it seems we should not be worrying 'bout the gov't but about the people - the poets are the worst, this is not the only vanity site I visit and believe me, I find this same kind of thing going on elsewhere - the poets ain't mad, they are whining, why? because they are short-sighted, provincial, backwoods, red-necked, & & & drowning in their own bullshit -
sorry, amigo, I can't answer your call, there are too many other demands on my attention, but good luck to you -

(Said, after posting a long-ass response.)sorry, amigo, I can't answer your call
NO. The "gov't" failed the people. Gave us no choice. Shit A or Shit B. To all-time high ridiculous proportions. I'd prefer that my President-elect is not endorsed by the effing KKK thank you. Good grief people.... it seems we should not be worrying 'bout the gov't but about the people
Did you just go there? Really? Jesus, don't sugarcoat it or anything, haha. WTF....the poets ain't mad, they are whining, why? because they are short-sighted, provincial, backwoods, red-necked, & & & drowning in their own bullshit -
I'll have to come back later to comment on the poem. No time right now.
