The Winter Count

Post by the mingo » November 18th, 2016, 6:16 am

there was some talk about going back for the bones
I spoke against it,
by the time that talk came around
there would not have been any bones left to get
though I understood the want of it -

truth is it would not have brought holiday
or any feasting
no food for the belly
no joy for the spirit
but ...
there is no question of the connection
we have here now
because of the things
we have buried in this ground
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

we are intrinsically connected to the earth...on top, and below the surface.... 8)
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
