empty plate next to me
half cup of coffee too
half dozen words drifting
behind my eyes
... could be in the mood
for some Chet Baker ...

I finished the things I had to do,
dishes,
splitting firewood,
chasing dust around -

the moon will be by later, I think.
I will have a fire going by then
