She had a knack
For saying straight up
What no one else dare say

Her friend called and was sad
They are all sad
She's dying

So are a few others
I listen
I see them holding onto thier pain
Like a dirty blanket dragged by a child
Insecurity will not have to get the best of your eyes
The very things that people have suggested
Are ignored- because what will be there ---- if they let go?
... my fears are useless....
the people I have seen and loved when they were dying
Said " 'mama mama come get me" (she was 91)
- one woman clawed the wall like a dog saying " help help"
-she went ten minutes later-
- I was not afraid- -sad-
When I lost the third husband
I spent two years looking at that flawless diamond
Then it had to be
Until we meet again

When you get older
Forgiveness is easier to carry

poetry is really the practice of telling straight up
what others will not dare say

it is about how you bring originality and creativity
to that

there never is any safe and easy way to say what
others cannot say

yet the study of hidden knowledge what that is all about

now more then ever this is needed, if you know what I mean

things in this world are getting more hidden yet more revealed

this is why I began writing poetry to begin with

I came to studio eight
A lost child of the seventies
I have blundered my way into real loving relationships
Because-- I laugh at myself-
For one thing - there is always a captive audience
One more joke

Laughing it seems can be a defense
Against assholes and thier followers
I think that this trump thing is painfully funny-
... clearly they do not understand what or who has the balls-
:- ! They would rather have an angry inch in the White House
Than a woman....
It's barbaric.....
So should I cry? - should I make plastic surgery jokes? And we know that won't fix it
Maybe MT trumps will have a Russian fashion show
I dunno
I think this country has gone to hell
