the art of revolution

Post by revolutionR » December 23rd, 2016, 5:46 pm

crop circles going around
what we don't know, about what we don't know
signs and symbols beyond belief
what are they trying to tell us

ufo's going around and around
the balls of light that make geometric
circles in fields of consciousness
creating incredibly complex designs
in a matter of minutes

the art of revolution of the human condition
what were the philosophers trying to tell us
why did they not just reveal the history
that has been hidden from us
how we came to be enslaved by kings
and their religions

the art of revolution, and the revolution of art
what do you really see when you look at the Mona
Lisa, or a Van Gogh, those swirling colors
of the French country side, sunflower stars spin
that nobody else could paint like that
what do you see when you look at a Picasso painting
at those women's faces like bowls of exotic fruit

I'm not talking about bloody revolution in the streets
what do you really feel when you read a poem by Poe
or Rimbaud, or that first line in Howl, or Dylan
sing about the hard rain that's going to fall

yes the revolution of art is about all the quiet battles
fought in art galleries of the mind, those cubists
and those abstract expressionists, the surrealists
those revolutionaries of the language of art

I do not des-estimate the bloody revolution of the streets:
sad cubes & not a chance to choose more happy trails
maybe we all not bow at them enough yet...

reading Agualusa´s "Teoría general del olvido" very slowly (in december I can easily being diagnosed with attentional déficit dissorder among other labels... ). Today my quiet battle & happy meditation is the art of cooking!

the power of art to influence the masses is well documented....there is metaphor in a painting just like in a poem....another side to consider....and images of all kinds profoundly affect the way we try to piece together a plausible explanation for the madness that often surrounds us...look for the signs....they are everywhere
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
