Cool people...

Post by creativesoul » December 23rd, 2016, 10:00 am

I ran away from home
When I was 13
One speaker in my head
Could no longer hear adults

New Orleans
I thought I was Janis Joplin
Drank like she did but could not sing
Then I married a drummer
I was 17
Then I married an oil man in Africa
Had babies in the third world
A husband I never saw
I smoked ganja on the beaches of badagry
I watched a Nigerian soldier hold a machine gun to my babies head
Crazy wild life
All the whilei married a surfer and lived in Kauai
For ten years
I married a good looking sadistic dysfunctional guy and after two years- :gave up
My body heart and soul are almost all healed up
Five years later

Begging for God to help
He has
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

raw reflections of a long journey toward the light, and if we are lucky we find a little peace before the final curtain drops...the past is done...the future is iffy....so the only sensible action is live for today...live it fully without regrets....knowing we did the best we could with the tools we had at the time.... 8)
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

So well put-
(Sun is rising)
' woke up cold not dead'
-all kinds of stuff in my head
In my head....
Not really where I was trying to go..
As it should be
Thankful that I am not dead or cold
That aspirin and coffee are enough
I have " homework " -writing
Like a flood words come out
Meaningless
Yet they tell a story
Of a lifetime I got to be grateful for
Today
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

we raft down that river
thinking we command
this flimsy vessel
but
in truth
that damned river
takes us where it wants
so there's nothing we can do
but enjoy the trip
(if not at this moment
then later)

glad those rapids are behind you - quiet water ahead

I dunno how I got this dream
Wrapped around a cinnamon baked apple
The scent so sweet in the city on a rainy day

Even when I thought my value
Was in cuddling sex and love
I became at last filled with light
Aqua water translucent dolphins
Swimming next to the catamaran
Back 1992-1999.. Hanalei Kauai
Lei s of plumeria-pikaki- !-yellow ginger flower

Cherry blossoms: -we await your entry
