I imagine it's winter instead of autumn
and I'm grateful it's raining instead of snowing.
There's always a way to trick your brain into
counting your blessings.

we were a few days from getting him
into his new place
on my sister's property
and whammo...the gods didn't care

physical therapy person came in
to Dad's room to try to get him up
and sitting in a chair, so she explained.....................
my sister-in-law and I were there for a visit
the PT woman said I have to ask you ( to my dad)
can you please tell me who these people are,
it was a test of sorts, to which dad replied
" I have no idea who the hell those people are, I've
never seen them before "
And then he laughed.....still had his sense of humor
but in the end blood pressure too low
to use the walker to get to the chair....two tries...
so she announced PT was over for today
will try again tomorrow....he's in some real pain
but only when he tries to move...lying still
is painless, so that's good right ?
when he is sprung, he won't be going back to his rancher,
he will move into his new home ( it's mobile ) but
super nice...brand new....sitting on my sister's property
all utilities hooked up, furnace is working....TV
lift-chair....we're all set....now we got to get him out of there
the PT person asked, can you provide 24/7 care for him..
I didn't hesitate a bit...."You betcha, we can "
the hospital is no place to live....rehab either
We're bringing him home....Thank You
