I wake up and the cool desert morning
Is speaking in old songs and families
Culture that has been claimed by economic
Pressure- so many people living in one house
The grandparents come from Mexico
They sleep in the garage

The cars are parked like everyone has a job
No one is home but the grandparents all day
This seems to be the loving way
: love your family
Save your sanity
Keeping it simple
Eating food and drinking clean water
Is a beautiful thing- be grateful
The sun is not up yet
The sky is glistening
Touch your heart
Look at the moon
Feel that universe beating in your chest
So much to love about all the rest
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

keeping it simple.....yes

Stuff of stars ... Hopefully you're far enough from LA to see them vividly, free of megalopolis glow pollution. One of the best things about desert sky-- especially high desert-- is seeing into space. The first time I really saw the Milky Way-- actually saw it clearly, firsthand-- was pretty amazing.

Here- the moon light penetrating the wall near my head
I get out of bed to look at the sky
Yes it is brilliant and beautiful and fills my bed
Dreams with wings
Visions of a world that expands in timeless starlight

It’s a cool morning in the desert
The dog and I are looking around
The shadow mountain just close enough
To kiss the last rays of light- good night
Laying in the dark ; the stars smile with flushed
Lips - pomegranate juice stains the finger tips

It’s rich the sun rising
The cement is cool under my feet
Manicure of violet toes
I’m sixty in a few days
I know that days gone by were a fragmented puzzle
A maze
I am on the inside of the castle now
It’s quiet

happy early birthday jana
find your joy in the leaf and bug
it's all around you, as you know very well
there is beauty in the bark of tree and dog
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I know that days gone by were a fragmented puzzle
A maze
I am on the inside of the castle now
It’s quiet
A reasonable decent health
will carry you thru your 60's

These 70's are big reminders
that the years grow shorter
and faster and faster

but the need for speed
needs to recede
for time does what it needs.

Happy Birthday to you, creativesoul,
and congratulations on your upcoming
number sixty spin around our planet!
look forward for more... ;)

My friend coffee and I
Although it just sends me to smell it
It killed my guts
Yogart in the middle of the night
Under the moonlight
So healthy the tiramisu cake tasted fake
Honey black mango tea
Lunch with my son in Venice ca
2 hours away
I love this day

I do not know that I have ever been this happy
Like a cat that swallowed the mouse

The dog sleeps on my sweater
My coffee in the afternoon moments

I let the birthday cake in
This morning doughnuts were trying to enter
I yawned and pretended I did not see that sugar
On that twisted bit of dough deep fried
Nope
It is too hard to work out
If I ate cake and cookies all the time
I would have to sleep at the gym

Thank you! I ate cake- it was so groovy
I’m alive! I am listening to my intuition and rejoicing in being sixty
