Jam-ble bell, jam-ble bell, jam-ble bell rock
Jam-ble bells swing and jam-ble bells ring
Typing and rhyming up bushels of fun
Now the jam-ble bop has begun

Jam-ble bell, jam-ble bell, jam-ble bell rock
Jam-ble bells chime in jam-ble bell time
Jammin' and slammin' in Jam-ble Bell Square
In the frosty air...

holidaze jam all lit up
like dean martin god rest his soul
and bing and louis armstrong
zat you santy clause ?
madonna in the stable ?
hell no, she's singinn' 'bout santa baby
doing the manger jam
no disrespect mind you
it's just that those wise men were pretty hip cats
could wail with the best of em
play saxophones on camel-back
and then came elvis and his wonderland
and all them crazy little elves
with the far-out socks and groovy slippers
and they wuz all jammin' baby
waitin' on the fat man to slide on down
and beat dem drums
no silent night baby, they was rockin'
despite grandma gettin' run over by a reindeer
the party must go on...into the new year
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Quiet this time of year
except the edges of noise,
but even they seem to get
lost in all the noise building
on noise for no reason.

But that never stopped me
from celebrating Christmas.

Noise of the
Salvation Army bell
Persistent
Ringing in the corners
Of my mind
Up the street now
Silence off the
Main street
Rainy day
Dream away
Cool music at jojo's
Bit of a chill
In the air
Jammin
The holidaze
Hate to say it
I'm still wobbly
Back to the cane
Safeties sake
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

none of us would be here
solstice jam a roll call for poets still here
lets all just keep on trucking for the long haul

Weebles wobble
Humpty Dumpty
& all those pieces
Reese's & mices
Mindlessly jammin
No other way
Make my day
Clint good bad and ugly
Once upon a time
Han Shan on a
Cold mountain
Basho circling the wagons
Head em up move em out
All in a days walk
Another time
Another space
For it is the place......space
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

space, yes... dat is da place
saturnalia
rah for the sun, rah rah!
the storm has passed!
the power held!
(here at least)
a quiet jam
watched a few flicks
chased the dog
room to room and back
with his favorite toy
du jour
just jammed, yanno?
washed the dishes
put up some water
and waited...
waited...
waited for yet another
faux apocalypse that
(thankfully)
canceled its plans

ventured out to a cozy little bar
my son Matthew, the handsome bartender
and I joked with the crew there
everyone seemed joyful last night
doing the holiday jam, my son introduced me
to every young worker and they each took time
to come over and speak to me, and it felt so real
like humanity is still percolating, despite
the travails of keeping the engine on the tracks
they were the resistance, doing the fightback jam
they were the disenfranchised smiling as if they
actually liked their job, they were a community
of talented young people, many with degrees
waiting for their break on the bigger stage
and they jammed as one body, they felt each other's pain
and joy, and they knew there was more than this
so they jammed like christmas lights, and hugged
each other and my faith was restored, and I got
special privilege to stay longer with my lady friend
hours after the bar had closed, and we jammed
like there was no tomorrow and it felt really good to me
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Jam alive
Jam the nation
The world
All the hemispheres
What do I want for brunch
Back on the cane
Just in case
Kinda wobbly
Like a weeble or however you spell it
What you do when it's. Xmas and your a Buddhist....Hindu......seeker?
Smile and say "Merry Christmas!"
Well it's not raining today and the bars full at 11:30 am.😎
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

In my lifetime a recurring conflict--
peace on earth, good will to men at Xmas,
and America First powderkeg politics of
self-righteousness and greed between.
Not just America, but U get the gist.
So how can it be both?
For now at least
I will choose
the former.

war is over here
(at least in the rocks form)
tons of words about violence
spreaded like confetti for a week
St. John, the sweet name of Jesus
& an splendid sun!

Snow!
Sifting down, feathery,
bringing memories of
holidaze, sledding on the hill,
tracking ice & mud in the house,
to get warm, & get the big
green & red cookies...
