yesterday I had 6 polyps
removed from my colon
all of them large
two of them very large
and one of those with two heads
biopsy said no cancer
but the Doc said she was sure from the size of them
within a year there would have been
I said, "My Thanks, Doc"
"Not necessary" she replied, very professional

I guess it is not ok to detest the doughnut place in Portland that people line up around the block to eat fruit loops on a doughnut
After they smart possessed of vodoo doughnuts they leave the pink boxes a long the river
I guess it is not ok to imply that we are all dying
As we are living
And I cannot prevent it
It is the one thing that will surprise me
The whole foot surgery coming up has me a bit afraid

Since I have been deaf I have not been riding
I have hearing aids now
Sometimes I am just afraid of the unknown
Here: they put lights on trees - at night ya would think this was hotel California
Sometimes I feel like I wish I had not heard something-
Such as loud noises- trucks backing up- that screeching beep beep is enough to get anyone interested in opiates
In my crew we all have some ailments- food allergies-
One lady has a computer implant for hearing with three programs- she is the longest sober person I have ever met- 59 years or something- we had a comedian last night- so funny- so real-
Yet the free version of my life- the old woman is emerging- she is a grandma now- it’s blissful- people like me die under bridges every day-
The only real reason I had to continue at one point was that I was a mother and I owed it to them to not die of a drug overdose- it has been a long road,\ as there were times I wondered why I was doing what I was doing? What does shaking hands with 200 people have to do with no longer feeling lonely?
Why do we meet all the time- these same people for one hour and s half at a time!???
I think of Crosby stills and Nash and young- I think of Woodstock- I think of the hog farm- I think of Taylor camp
I think of hippies and bikers and the rock stars I thought were like little Gods to me- I found that I had music inside- that I didn’t know how to hear- so began the beautiful journey of getting to know you and us and we

A few minutes earlier he was going to smash a guys head in - he went outside in Venice - and the cops were rolling down the street
He was angry
I swear alcohol is just evil

Last time- my first time in Santiago - my son was dating a Chilean model actress with a talk show- she made strange noises in the bedroom with my son—— that compels me to walk her wiener dog - and my sons dog- a boxer- they do not really walk in harmony- I got lost- with two dogs in downtown Santiago and 20 dollars- fortunately I brought my phone and my son called and told the cab driver where to take me..
it was an interesting experience- I did an abstract painting that week and my son said “ it is rage”..
I never like to feel lost or like I’m not wearing underwear I am happy that he not in a relationship with her now- the woman he is with now he met at my oldest sons wedding- and they went to elementary school- together

Glad to hear you dodged those bullets, El Mingo - the further up in years we get, the more of 'em there are. Like creativesoul said - eat your veggies, fruits, & whole grains - animal protein in moderation (if at all), and stay away from those trans fats & petro-foods. Ain't no guarantees, ever, but you can tilt the probabilities a bit in your favor. Ya got those VT/NH rail-trails to explore yet.

Thx, Roy - I watch those vids with a bit of lust - been riding more here since the weather turned but my legs are still soft from the long winter - I'll get there
