found an ear
on the sidewalk
I guess you could say
it was my van gogh moment
how could I ignore this
how could I not think of sacrifice,
the meaning of found objects
this rather small musical organ
to picture hearing only one side
of an argument.... to wonder
should I check to see if someone had
posted a reward on a telephone pole
was the machete so swift
someone was actually unaware
they were missing something
so important ....something so crucial
for a balanced head.............
then I woke up, inhaled deeply
went back....to sleep...perchance
to revisit....I needed some answers !

I love it that you could hear the painting
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
