A sign on the interstate offered salvation,
so I got off at the next exit; it had to be near.
But there was nothing but desert and heaven
over the first rise, rock and powder blue and
infinity just beyond, it couldn't be too far off.
What I know of humans and salvation
fits on the head of a thimbleful of infinity.
That was probably how infinity intended it,
so you can't complain, just live as one speck
of dust swirling over a rise from Exit 312.
I was born two rises from Exit 172, and I
wonder how it might have turned out if I'd
been born on another exit, underanother star
cluster with different signals filtering down
from heaven on another random highway.

We all get a little window on it...
Just goofin'. Needs more 'meat' ... details... Me and my obsessing over infinity. That'll never feed the bulldog... Thanks for the look in, judih.

Interesting---- something to think about and expressed in a novel way. Enjoyed reading.
