Now What Am I Going to Call This?
Now What Am I Going to Call This?
the birds
have come back
they are such slaves
to time and place
outside, singing,
just now

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
Re: Now What Am I Going to Call This?
been hearing the tufted titmouse... woodpecker display drumming... and today I heard (and saw) the season's 1st phoebe... wood frogs can't be too far behind. The roads are drying out, should be ready for fresh gravel & a grading in a few weeks... sat outside yesterday for a while in my deck chair. Air was chilly, but that sun is WARM...

Re: Now What Am I Going to Call This?
very little migration in the mid-Atlantic anymore
Ducks, Geese stay now, and most other species can handle the winter here
of course there is more activity now, but the planet she is a-warmin'
and I look at the season's much differently. I barely used my wood stove for instance
next picture post will be my flowering cherry tree out front...stay tuned

when I was a kid, opossums were a southern critter - now they're common roadkill hereabouts, & my sister even has one living behind her garage. The climate deniers are screwing over their own grandchildren. There's a special place in Hell for those people - it's called Earth, 2075 A.D.

saw, you must be living in Baltimore South Carolina because I've had my woodstove going 24/7 since the 1st of November til just the last few days - last night was the first night since October that I didn't have a fire going all night -I barely used my wood stove for instance

Re: Now What Am I Going to Call This?
sasha. there have always been possums here in the great state of Yew Nork, at least since the global warming that occurred end of the last glacial maximum - you been preaching against the cold & snow all winter so calm the fuck out and enjoy the possums
