June 18th may be difficult for me; I'm going to China and I'll be arriving back I think that same day.

Audience participation sounds great to me, but then again I'm in love with Rocky Horror.

How about Saturday, June 25th?

Or Saturday, July 2nd?

July 2nd is probably better for me.

july? we are optimistic.
i'm prepared to admit july might come, but i will not, at this time, go out on a limb and promise such a thing.

i am, however, reasonably sure that now is here.

bohonato... looks like we have a date to work out...;)

OK, judih... Here's the deal. It's May 23rd now. We are doing a Word Jam here this Friday. That's the 27th. We've found out that weekends work best for all of these online events. The weekend after that (June 4th) would be too soon since it's only one week after our next scheduled Word Jam. (Though we COULD lose that Word Jam entirely and do this instead.)

I'm looking at my calendar. June has 4 weekends in it. The last weekend of June, I will be out of town... a much needed vacation. Bohonato can't make it on the weekend before that... the 18th. I have my calendar marked for a Word Jam at the Scroll on June 10th and 11th. That's not set in gold.

So, as I see it, here are the possibilities, since we need *some* time to get together people to commit to a time and characters plus talk about the scenario we want to do...

We could

1- Do it on Saturday, June 11th (and take a break from the Scroll)

or

2- Not do a Word Jam this Friday, May 27th and do the Improv Play on Saturday, June 4th.

LOL!!! I'm a lousy organizer... I just read this post over and I'm more confused than I was before.

Pick a Saturday in June that's good for you and we'll see if others can make it then.

June 4th?

June 11th?

Those are the two Saturdays available. Whaddya say, all?

When would be best?

let's jam this weekend.

for those of us who like to stanislavsky their way to role-playing, we could try on our roles for size.

but bohonato can't do the play before june 18th, so that pushes the date further along into your original july prediction.

scrolling? why not. could be that the last jam was a low population entry just out of the blue.

but still, it was a jam of its own flavour.

gotta go pull my brain cells into some sort of order for this coming day - will return.

love and salutations

j

here are some suggestions for scenarios

remember that all theater is based on conflict
without it there can be no drama

--------

1.
After the fall of civilization. Post apocalypse. You've seen the mad max movies.
What caused it? Who knows? Environmental catastrophe? Earthquake? Global warming? Nuclear War? (with Osama bin Laden?)
Who cares?

The Second Coming has come and gone. We are on a barren planet. There is little food. No fuel. The Chosen are dead.
The survivors are inhabited by spirits of anyone who ever lived. Now they must try to live again.
I see Napolean fighting over rights to an ancient dumpster with Joan of Arc.
Choose your character.

2.
The No Exit scenario.
We are in a room with the people we most love to hate.
Nobody can leave.

3.
Whodunnit?
There has been a murder. Was it Mr. Peacock in the Library? Who was the victim?
Who was the perp? How did it happen and why?

4.
A meeting in Eternity.
The great minds and personalities of the world
are discussing what went wrong.

5.
Cuckoo's Nest Scenario.
A bunch of nuts being controlled by a system.
A co-ed asylum.
Who will rule? The system or the inmates?
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

The Poet's Eye

good!
fantastic, kayla

l-rod, some interesting predicaments.
of course, i'm partial to the cuckoo's nest since it's basic reality.

the claustrophobic no one gets out sounds a little edward albee-ish. i'd prefer to watch that one from outside!

so what
how
when
are we going to do this? Wait... "what" doesn't make sense with the rest of the sentence. Dammit!
