Re: Judih — please check in!!!
Here’s a link to a beautifully written article by Marc Eliot Stein (Levi Asher) which he just published on Litkicks.

you may end up where you are heading

Re: Judih — please check in!!!
Thanks for the article. I remember Litkicks. It was where I first came across Judih and writing. It was through her and a couple others that were the seed to the birth of writing as part of my life, and drove me to continue.
Re: Judih — please check in!!!
Oops..and her writing..pre coffee
Re: Judih — please check in!!!
that's why I load the coffee maker before going to bed - pushing "ON" is about all I can manage with one eye still closed

Heartfull remembrance written by Marc, so brave young Iris's words
I cried along for intervals during two days after October 7 th... I keep doing it from time to time...I always felt her as an illuminating young aunt or a big sister or and old-old mother living in this life surprisingly miles away from me ...making with her only existence and her art the world and my world more beautiful and possible ...
May our love and all the love in the world reach you in these moments, dear Judih!!!

Re: Judih — please check in!!!
yesa big sister
I always felt that she knows me all too well
such a void in my life I can hardly breathe I am grief struck dumb
all I got left is the hope she will come back to us
Re: Judih — please check in!!!
It's a kick in the gut. I keep thinking of her visits to my home and reflecting on them gives me no joy.
Re: Judih — please check in!!!
As the news started trickling in, I had this eerie sense of dissociation, like being in a bad dream, like I was unplugged from reality. I'd had that feeling before, when the Columbia space shuttle was reported "overdue" at the landing site, & I knew that could only be if it hadn't made it through re-entry. I had no personal connection to any of the crew; but this one hit home. I've been in kind of a fog since.
Fuck. It just isn't right.
Same. She was always kind to me, & encouraging despite my shortcomings as a writer. I remember first hearing her voice when we collaborated remotely on a poetry reading, how calming and reassuring it was. And I remember with great fondness a few exchanges where her sly sense of humor still makes me smile.stilltrucking wrote: ↑October 21st, 2023, 10:54 pmI always felt that she knows me all too well

We, the people.
Yeah right.
Yeah right.

I've witnessed several wars from afar, and thought them beyond idiotic. This one burns me to the core.

Re: Judih — please check in!!!
Good news today that one of the released hostages said she was OK, had food and a clean mattress to sleep on, and there was a doctor and/or paramedic who was helping people with their injuries and wounds. That news brought some hope to my heart! Of course there are over 200 hostages still being held but we welcome a positive report and some hope. I’m sorry I can’t find the video clip. It was on CNN. So many hostages, so many stories yet to hear. I’m clinging to hope that there can be a ceasefire while the rest of the hostages are safely released—Plus innocent Palestinians removed safely from the area. Trying to be optimistic.

Ya Palestinians told to move south, then Israel started bombing the south. I swear their goal is to eradicate the Palestinians.
