There's a plaque with a poem,
installed on the liberty statue,
circa late nineteenth century.

Circa early 21st century,
our president declared
"the country is closed."

Times change.

I couldn't agree more my friend. And his first term was bad enough for the immigrants. Now things have taken a bend sinister even worse and I couldn't have imagined back then.
