Invitations?

We used to invite the entire member list to come to our community Word Jams.

It worked great for quite a few years. I was able to create a mass email in the admin panel. It doesn’t work anymore to contact everyone that way for a couple of reasons.

But I was thinking of going through the member list and selecting a few members at a time and sending them an invitation to come join us again from my personal email account.

Lord knows if any of the old emails are even valid anymore but maybe it’s worth a try. If I can reach them, some may want to come back to say hi.

What do you think? Do you want to see if an effort like that would create more activity on the site?

yes, seems worth a try to me...it would be nice to have more people involved with this great site....can't think of a downside

don't we already have s forum (Go!) dedicated to them?
if it's another way to encourage participation, I can't see why not

Sasha… yeah the GO forum is for ongoing Word Jams but we had actual Word Jam events for years … they are archived here if you want to take a look viewforum.php?f=22
I only mentioned them bc I used to send mass emails to invite the entire member list… can’t do that anymore… not planning to have events … was only explaining that I can’t invite people that way anymore
