Resonance
Resonance
a wildflower
at the edge of a stream
bobbing in time to the water...
a child on a swing
shifting her weight
until her feet touch the sky...
a car stuck in snow
rocking back and forth
to break itself free...
it was right after kent state
one of my physics profs
filled a tabletop aquarium
with water -
lifted a corner, set it down
sending a little wave across and back...
he lifted it again, set it down
again
and again
yet again
til water splashed onto the counter...
make little waves, he said -
make waves
.
