having coversations
with chatbots
learning about the world from them
considering them friends
forming relationships
binging on everything....
podcasts, streaming
without the beauty of water
videos games more real
than their own lives perhaps,
binging on treats
delivered right to their front door
its psychotic really
this constant state of distraction
and who could blame anyone
to prefer that to the news
some of us are lucky enough
to escape to the woods
and allow trees, and birds
replace the sick memes,
but it seems we are a minority
from what I gather, the pounding
of ads has real muscle
the digital world has sirens to entice
then demand obedience
