Generally Speaking---Hester is THE NUTS!!

Post by Lightning Rod » July 14th, 2005, 8:08 pm

We just received Hester's CD in the mail. I was captivated.
Hester has a voice that is as distinctive a Billie Holliday or Ella.
Her phrasing and nuance are to die for. I don't know how she got a Southern accent in Oregon but I'm sure there is an amazing story behind it.

As soon as we can get some of these tunes converted to MP3's we will post them here so you can all hear what a talent is in our midst.

Thank you Hester

Garsh, thass some nice woieds fer ol hester, specially comin from such awesome musicians like you and doreen....!

And just think, if it hadnt' have been for Jim Furnish, i'd still be waiting for it to be copied. Life can be wonderfully strange and and rich in all it's lessons and twists and turns.....for this pupil anyway.....heh.

Thanks you guys, LRod, Doreen, Jim.....for being so nice and supportive. It feels really good.

Absolute awe.

What a beautiful voice you have, hest!

And your pianist is excellent, too!

I'm going to rip these into .mp3s and put them up so everyone can hear them!

Probably won't be tonight but as soon as I can!

Love it! Thank you, hest!

You are a DIVA!!!!!

So much has changed since I heard you sing those four songs

Pulled up a chair and got to sit in with your friends and listen.

."

Pretty sure you not da nut here

fondled your voice
listened to them a lot
just a nice part of my day
very noisy here
trains, planes, firetrucks, police cars, ambulances, and Taps" and "Revelry from the Taj Mahal.

doctors my ears
Sylvai Plaths voice
trying to figure out what her tone of voice is
serious very serious, reading to prestigious gathering, who know royalty may have been there, rolling her words, pretty flat, then certain words emphasis,

one of those songs I hear a black woman's voice, is that what doreen meant by southern? Doreen's accent so interesting to me, homesick for the east coast I guess.

anyway you know these text boxes are so public, fondling just not my cup of tea here, Lighthouse  what was I thinking.
it amazes me when we can talk to each other
we are worlds apart
the biggest gulf of all is class
you and mousey1 got it
I don't
starting to repeat myself
bye bye

Try one of these free mp3 players, mousey1

Real Player
http://www.download.com/RealPlayer/3000 ... 55189.html

Windows Media Player
http://www.download.com/Microsoft-Windo ... ag=lst-0-1

I'm assuming you're on PC windows?

Just click the link here, then click "download" and it should install on your system (unless it downloads and installer, in which case, you'd have to click on the installer icon it downloads.)

What happens when you click one of the mp3 links?

Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?

Does it just not load and nothing happens?

What browser are you using?

I'm definitely not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that you have to go to your browser preferences and set the default application for listening to sound files.

Just trying to help. I'd love you to hear hester sing! She's fabulous!

It's only here this happens....I blame you Doreedor!!!

I don't know if I want to fool with my browser preferences since they haven't failed me before! And since I don't know what da fook I'm doing!!!!

I'll check it out tho Dor....thanks for caring. :D
