Hello Again
Hey gang
I've just come onto the site here, I remember a lot of you from Litkicks, but perhaps I'll keep my own identity quiet for the moment as I remember a run in with at least one of you before; I don't remember what it was about, but it is likely that it was just me honing my debate skills on topics I know little about.
I would like to congradulate Lrod and Doreen for opening this site as Litkicks just seemed to die one day, it was a bit too selective in what was allowed to be said anyways.
I've posted to the 'Eyewittness' section of this site and I plan to do so on a regular basis. I look forward to interesting discussion and even a bit of controled, intructive debate.

Howdy Howdy,
I can't think of anyone from litkicks that I would not be happy to see. The worse flame war I ever had was about Palestine. I whimped out and changed a post after it was replied to. I shoot from the hip a lot and I regret it. But I like spontaneity and open text boxes. You might remember me; I am the troll of litkicks. As I remember Jamelah had put something up about Baraka. He had poem that mentioned a lot of black men, but not Malcolm. I thought it was peculiar because I think he was one of the most courageous men who ever tried to help his people. Well I followed that Jamelah link back to an Egyptian newspaper and on the same site was an interview with a Nazi general living in Cairo. The article said he was just a loyal soldier following the orders of the legitimate government of his country. So I got kind of squirmy about that.
If you are that person I got to say you write like a dream
happy to see you

This post here was a mistake, can't delete it. Obviously is does not belong here..
I am not sure which brain firsty had an insight into. But I saw into a brain tonight too. Reminded me of Martin Eden by Jack London
but I wish him well, no body is perfect, except George W Bush

No, that wasn't me, I don't remember the debate to which you're referring.
No, I got into it with Firsty I think, about porno on DVD players in automobiles; I said that one's automobile is one's property and if pornography is legal, then it is legal in your house or in you car, or in your boat or on your train or in your plane, I remember adding a bit of 'Green Eggs and Ham' rhyme to it, but I don't remember. He was saying that if porno is visible to others, then the police ought to become involved. I then asked why is it okay to watch action movies in public but not porno, and then it turned into a question of why is sex bad in our society, and so on. I got into it with others as well, particularly on the topic of the World Secret Government, but it was all just a healthy urge for metal struggle on my part. I think it is good to debate in this format from time to time, though often on Litkicks it just degraded into name calling. It was educational to agrue, I remember, I came to realized a rigidity in my own opinons that I've smoothed out and aquired an openess as a result. It is easy to lose track of the content of a disagreement and just focus on proving that one is in the right. I learned about that as well.
As for my identity, on Litkicks it was first Voidfulldreamspace, and then later it was Lovey. As for you, I do remember your name, but I don't remember any specifics about you. I don't know if we ever fought, you and I.

Lovey,
It's great to see you here.
I read your piece on Eyewitness and I'm looking forward to more insight into the region from your accounts. I found your comments on the effects of Buddhism on the progress of the society to be particularly interesting.
Are you in Cambodia for a visa visit? I have a longtime friend who spends time in Thailand. He is married to a Thai woman and owns a house outside Ching Mai. Still, when he's there he has to leave the country every three months. He usually goes to Laos for a few days and then he comes back.
Welcome,
Let us see through your eyes

porno in cars, did they ever make a law clear about that or not? i think the story just fell out of the media.
oh, i went back to K&D...its more familiar you know.

Hello
Thanks for the reception, old and new faces, I am curious as to how everyone is doing, and what is everyone talking about. What shape has this site taken? I hope to add my part.
I am looking for a home for my thoughts.

If you post to an old post it kicks it back to the top. It can be a power trip for the vain who want to see their posts always on top. No problems here with that. But I am pretty vain myself god only knows why.
Just my take on it. sometimes I kick things up because I like to see them again. Like a firsty poem. Or one of yours.
