Remembering Hiroshima......

What in the world is going on?

No one really survives that sort of thing do they?
(But it does make for really good dis-association skills.)

The incredible wounds that we inflict on one another amaze me.
The 'agree with me" or die philosophy is outmoded and should be outlawed. But in America, it's the accepted mode of operation.
Whoooo Hoooooooo! uh uh uh grunt grunt grunt..."woman, get me a beer" "yes dear"
ugh.

In a world where the majority of people are victims, and a few that are enabled to be the bullies, what more could we expect?

well, then... i guess i'm back at outrage. yep, still seems like the apropriate response to me.

thanks for posting this, dor. it speaks to both sides of the point i was trying to make about people "both outside and within our own countries" being hurt by this. the american people are wounded too, by the betrayal of their leaders. they just don't have the visible scars to show it.

I am late for the sky
down and dirty
spontaneous gibbersih
GA it has be a guy thing
I never do anything smart when I am pissed off
The people from the physics department were probably the most sincere of all the protestors against the war in viet nam
And the returning combat medics, I joined a Group called MCHR, mostly consisting of them.

Well I remember the scene in college park maryland, in the early seventies the power freaks from the political science department. The stoners, the hippies running around, some one had tried to burn the ROTC building, it was a field day for the meek, cops hurling tear gas...........

fuk that what I am trying to say is are you kind,
because the first thing I want to do with outrage and anger is
hit someone, a guy thing? I don't know
But I remember standing with a guy from the physics department who had been one of the people who started organizing the protests back in the the sixties and now the guy was watching the circus unfold, he looked like he wanted to cry.

last time I hope I mention this but part of the betrayal of our country is the sentimentality about Israel. Our president of good evil and the wacko preachers who support him, do go on about the jews. All my hopes riding on a Gaza pull out, but part of me says it will never happen cause to many people would rather see Israel destroyed. THis has nothing to do with Hiroshima, just about the next nuclear war.

Our president of good and evil is now warning about dark powers, I think he is at heart a dangerous religous zealot, the only dark forces I see is his insanity.

hammer hammer
armegeedon fanatasies, i bet he dreams them every night, awakes refreshed and ready for a round of golf.

morning, truck!

for me, outrage is personal, it's internal, causing evolution on a cellular level, causing revolutions against governmentals. and it doesn't involve throwing a wad of hippies at anyone.

Claude AnShin the Zen monk was stating, about being spat upon, that is was hurtful, not helpful.

He was also speaking about the imperialism of the peace movement, which is an error.

I myself often was rebuked or ignored by various peacepeople during my hurting years, had to seek out those individuals who were responsive, but found some individuals to be unbelieveably arrogant and unapproachable.

Bonohato from Macomb County? Mercy. I grad from Chippewa Vallry HS in 1965, my sister was a Mt. Clemens Bather!
Go Bathers! Do I know you? Are you a BigRed? of course referring to the big red reefers, not i n·dig·e·nous slang.

Spitting may not be as bad as an A-bomb, but hey,
toreadora
use the cuspidora
waddaya think it's fora :?:

I wrote a letter to our last remaining Democrat Senator Nelson, about his signing on for more nuke development, that he was a wimp and would not get my vote next time around. What's the diff? Katherine Harris will run as the next woman Republickin senator, will possibly win, but I can not conceive of these wimpy Democratic moderates really being anything worth supporting anymore. We have got to get out of our so-called nuanced fence-sitting, the barbed wires are hurting my butt.

Am I pissed, yes, I am fucking pissed, my balls are fucking burning, I want to piss on the White House lawn, I want to paint the White House the color of money, yes, if I ever meet President Bush and he extends his hand, I will fold my arms and look him straight in the face, yes, but I will not spit, I will not.

I was so pissed at one time, down and out about 1973, was hiking in the hills up in northern Nevada, half fasting, would have been a recruit for the stupid Symbionese Liberation Army, Christ, the Black Panthers were a working model for revolutionaries, but hey, they got gunned down, it doesn't work.

finally when I came into the healing, I had to accept my healers, not necesasarily their opinions. The Vet Centers were apolitical, sometimes frustrating, but the two centers I worked with, Bossier City, La, and St Pete, Fl, helped me, as did the VA psychiatrists.

Beyond that made connections with Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors, Vets for Peace, VVAW, Quakers, and am now involved in some impending counter-recruitment demonstrations, have volunteered . Wanna do JuKai vows in Zen, but have not quite connected yet. Maybe with AnShin at a later date.

a few short years ago one of my patients was an old man dying of throat cancer, he was a crew member on the Enola Gay.

His daughter said, "yes, he was a part of history."

Everyone was proud.

He went home with hospice.
