K&D... I've been so transfixed on this Kartrina Katastrophe that doing (2) may stretch my imagination a bit too far. But maybe something will pop...

Wow, K&D.. I'm so sorry to hear about your granddad. Your family took a double whammy and that is very stressful, I know. Good to know that the Baton Rouge folks are alright... a city growing by leaps and bounds according to what I've been hearing. I think your attitude is healthy and keep looking forward.

Thanks so much for the kind words on the Streams. I do appreciate that, KiD!

K&D - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather! And to have lost your grandmother so recently, too, plus the stresses of not being able to reach them easily in Baton Rouge!

Sincere sympathies to you and your family!

sorry about your grandfather, KiDdo

My grandparents went within a few weeks of each other. I think they were both holding out during the last couple of years just to take care of each other.

the most pleasent memories i have of the two were of them giving eachother shit...they fought but it wasn't like my parents fought, it was a sarcastic way...in fact me and my cousins are constantly mocking them with there souther accents...there bickoring was that sort of busyness that i know miss in Baton Rouge...the noise is gone.

I was lucky enough to be able to care for my grandparents in the final years of their lives.

It used to tickle the shit out of me when my grandmother would jump on my grandfather for something that he had done or said 50 years before. They were both hard of hearing, so their 'discussions' could be rather loud.

The closer you come to the end, the more willing you are to say whatever you think.

thats what i'm saying old man, people talk about teenagers being free, thats a load of crap, old people are more free...what the hell do they have to worry about, plus they got a lot more things figured out.
