Etta James performed September 3rd at the Long Beach Blues Festival in Long Beach, California.

Here's a very tasty sample for ya from the show:

I LOVE her!

Good to see you, Scoot!

My favorite is "At Last", also known as "At long last love"

At last
my love has come along
my lonely days over
and life is like a song
Ooh At last
the skies above are blue
well my heart was wrapped up in clover
the night I looked at you
I found a dream
that I could speak to
a dream that I could call my own
I found a thrill
to press my cheek to
a thrill that I have never known
well
You smile
you smile
oh and then the spell was cast
and here we are in heaven
for you are mine at last
I found a dream
that I could speak to
a dream that I
could call my own
I found a thrill
to press my cheek to
a thrill that I have never known
well
You smile
you smile
oh and then the spell was cast
and here we are in heaven
for you are mine at last
ooo yea
you are mine
you are mine
at last
at last
at last
at last

--------

I sing it with her often.

I downloaded the file. It was 45 megabytes! Wow! It had a .flac extension. I don't know what type of file that is and I was unable to play it.

Nah, I'm kind'a green when in comes to all that stuff--what I did was burn the converted FLAC to cd, then rip the cd in WindowsMediaPlayer, then uploaded the finished product to that "yousendit.com" dealy bob.....

If you want the best free music site in the world, get some free bittorrent software, some FLAC and SHN software and head over to

http://dimeadozen.org

they just updated their member list and booted 3000 inactive accounts--before that it was almost impossible to get in--The most amazing stuff shows up there in all genres...blues, rock, country, folk, classical, jazz...it is really something....absolutely free and totally amazing.
