1 in 10 respond
I've noticed over and over again that for every post approximately 1 out of 10 viewers respond, not just here at S8 but most places I put my words. Just wondering what some of you might think, not trying to create a debate or anything heavy, o.k.

Here's an example of how the count on views works.
Let's say 5 people viewed a thread once and 3 of them replied the first time they viewed it. That's 5 views and 3 replies.
The two others didn't reply the first time they viewed it. They thought about it for a little while and came back to the thread to view it again and then they replied. That's 7 views but only 5 replies.
Let's say 3 out of those 5 people are online at the same time. It's possible that all 3 of them want to follow the conversation as it is happening.
Sooooo.....Let's say 2 more people come online, view and reply. That's 9 views but only 7 replies.
All 3 who are still online who want to follow the conversation as it is happening, click on the post 2 more times each after each of the 2 new replies comes in. So, that's 6 more views but still only 7 replies.
The tally then comes to 15 views and 7 replies.
This is just an example, but this is how it works because many of the people who have already replied view the thread several times without replying again. And then there are also viewers who read and do not reply at all.
Make sense?

I like to read I don't always reply. You can all be thankful for this modus operandi!
