One of my favorite all time Simpson's episodes is the one where Bart sells his soul to Milhouse for five bucks and thought he was really making out because he didn't believe in the soul.
Milhouse then trades the IOU to the guy in the comic book shop for a first edition copy of Atom Man or something.
Bart still thinks he conned Milhouse until he notices that he doesn't cast a shadow and can't laugh. Then he freaks.
Lisa sees him weeping and praying.
Lisa Simpson is my dream woman, by the way. She's so smart and good and idealistic.
Anyway Lisa goes out and buys the IOU from the comic book guy and brings it back and gives it to Bart. What a sister. Soul sister.

i remember that episode...i also like the one, i only vaguely remember it but lisa befriends that sax player...oh and also the one where lisa thinks she's a buddist and homer says she doens't get presents if she's a buddhist..

my dad use to mock me and say that i was lisa simpson back when i was in elementary and early middle school, and he always followed it with, "now if only you could play sax"

thats o.k, i always said he was Homer simpson "now, if only he had a hit t.v series"

My metaphor is a fearless Athena springing forth from her father's skull fully aromored and armed. loaded for bear. I am a coward myself. I been hiding in the dark for twenty five years now. But a few cracks in my defenses are letting some light in.

I can feel her but she is nowhere in sight.
but just to know she is there is a a blessing to me.

Thank-you for your admiration. Yes, I remember the brave little mutt....a smooth little bugger....we should all be so brave. You know that little dog got smucked right? Got hit square in the kisser with a gigantimouse paw!!! But it had the satisfaction, the satisfaction of telling that big bully where to go.

"Cracks in the defenses" you gotta watch those Still, they've got a way of turning into fissures, huge fissures and before you know it you're completely sunk!
