Beautiful uses of color-- I love the red areas inflected with blues, greens and yellows.

And the drawing, and in particular the shapes of the images, is very imaginative.

David Levine meets Chaim Soutine!

Beautiful image, Arcadia.

well jimbo, enough psicos in the circle...
the painting is by Oscar Grillo that during these days have a muestra in the Palais de Glace in Buenos Aires. I found accidentaly the photo in a magazine some days ago during an activity with the kids at school (we were looking for families in graphic publicity ). I didn´t know about the existence of the painter till that. I liked it inmediately and it reminded me somehow to Hester and Sober Duck.
I´ll post later a link a found in case you want to send postcards to your friends with Grillo images.
saludos,

Arcadia

Yah I like to see more. A local pintadora?

Z man, looks like Soutaine on a good day! But the colors, I agree, the blue deep and immense, floats deep behind the lady and her gent friend......truly engaging to the senses, joyfull!

Zlatko: I have no idea how David Levine and Chaim Soutine are. Yes, the image is beautifully-funny.

Oh this is astounding.
from that web site

Oscar sends out daily emails to a group of friends , a drawing group with amazing dexterity and creativity. Usually, added to the images, are very brief comments and selected music, when you click on the pic, the name of the theme, man.
