Which is the most prejudice race?

Post by izeveryboyin » October 3rd, 2005, 3:40 pm

This was the question posed at allphilosophy.com, a sight I hadn't even know existed until recently, when I discovered an interesting comment made by radio personality Bill Bennett. "You could abort every black baby and your crime rate would go down."He said. But it would be inhuman, "reprehensible" even to do so. Now, knowing me, I of course I clicked the "E-mail Bill" button, and, surprisingly enough, didin't rant, but instead simply tried to enlighten him on a few things. I just gave him a few very rpominent examples of white criminals... "Maybe they should have been aborted", I mused. I am still waiting for a response. But getting back to the matter at hand, I read some of the responses to the question, and the best answer was entitled "You."

Because he would even try and categorize racism by ethnicity, the author proposed, he is being racist himself. IS that the case? Another gave and awswer entitled "The Human Race."

Even better. But does it really matter who is the most racist? Or is the important matter the fact that there is still even racism at all.

Look at this:Image

And this:http://www.kkk.bz/index1.htm

And this:Love the Diversity of God's Creation

Practice Racial Integrity

Don't Race Mix

Imagine the world with only one race - only one culture - Is that really what you want?

...Because that WILL be the End result

Think about it!

And this:Image

And fucking this:Image

Isn't that more important than pointing the finger?

When I heard Bennett utter this on tv I got sick to my stomach literally. I suppose that makes me weak?

I couldn't believe it. I was so outraged. I wanted to scream!

But here we are. I haven't heard much about it since.

I see this kind of comment as perfect stupidity, and it scares me that there are people on tv brazenly saying this kind of total crap! People making big bucks, with attitudes like this, spreading their corrupt, racist, bigotry for all to hear.

The FCC should slap a hefty fine on the station hosting him. But no, they'll only do that if you swear. Racist comments are okay with the FCC.......

He should have been smacked across the mouth on tv in front of everyone watching. Then, his dad should a taken him out to the goddamned woodshed later that night, and given him a good walloping.

I mean it! He deserves to be punished. Maybe send him to Iraq for a few months, since spankings are now against the law?
Good grief!
I'm very glad you brought this up Iz.....it's very very important.

Who is this jackass, Bennett? I've never heard of him!

What a poor excuse for a human being.

I hope they kick him off the air for saying something so stupid and bigotted. Jesus!

Trappings of wrappings;
various hues layer upon layer.
Eyes view reflections
of spectrums not absorbed.

In sepulchers,
vestments of diverse colors
lie in crumbling mounds alike
for mother earth to reclaim.

What matters it,
the skin we’re in?

Doreen:

William Bennett has gone so far as to presume the role of moral instructor for his fellow citizens ( especially children):

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... 8?v=glance

But has been referred to, in all his self-righteous instructing, as "The Bookie of Virtues" once his compulsive, very costly addictive gambling habit was discovered and "outed."

Like Rush Limbaugh with his giant jars of pills, he's a self-canonized plaster saint with a dirty face.

Bennett was former Secretary of Education and Drug Czar under two presidents.

His own muddled, doctrinaire, ideologue's sense of the universe has been a laughing stock for some time.

Doreen:

Just as an afterthought:

William Bennett was appointed Secretary of Education by Ronald Reagan, originator of some of the greatest howlers to come from the lips of an American chief executive.

A few years ago, I picked up "Ronald Reagan in His own Handwriting" in Barnes and Noble and read some of it, just standing there in the bookstore.

Why sponsors of the Reagan " great communicator" legend would permit such a book to be published is beyond me. The writing ( unedited, in Reagan's handwriting) gives a clear insight into the man. Here was a person without intellect, without education, without tact and without finesse in dealing with other world leaders.

Reagan's personal meanderings are embarrassing. Worse, even, than his public utterances in their naivete and general ignorance about history, politics and ideas.

Had Ezra Pound still been alive when Reagan was president, RR would probably have appointed him Ambassador to Israel.

Here's a nice compilation of some of Reagan's public gaffes. At the "Howingtons" site:

( with, unfortunately, several typos . . .)

It's not so much which race is the all time hater. But the one single person who embodies racism to it's deepest core. That person will be the one who hates. This person must be shown the way of understanding then this person wil no longer carry such a burden.

Who is this person, Dave? I mean, how many heated eyes do we see on the devilish streets of EVERYCITY, USA? How many upturned noses? I was in the car with someone recently (a black woman, too) and she barked out "Stupid chink, learn how to drive." Then a black guy cut her off and she growled, "See, that's why niggas get on my nerves. I pointed out her many racial slurs, and, after calling someone else a dumb wetback, said to me, "See, I'm an equal oppurtunity racist."

To quote a line from my favorite movie of all time "A Clockwork Orange". "Is it some devil that crawls inside of you?"
The devil being the symbol of racism and not knowing or knowing what it can do.

For me it is the Jews. Only because I expect more from them. Standing in a picket line in baltimore in 1962. The Congress for Racial Equality was picketing a Jewish deli that refused to serve blacks. I heard a sweet looking little old Jewish lady day, "I would not go where I was not wanted." Maybe people don't consider Jews a racial thing, a religion a culture but I was raised in an old fashioned refugee family and being a Jew was all about genetics. Mitochondrial DNA and all that. My grandparents ignorant Polish peasants. There was us and then there was the rest of the world, the Goyim. Black people were never N words they were Schwarzes. A special class of Goyim. I picked up a book in a thrift shop for a quater. I may read it.

Broken Alliance is an account of how the twentieth-century alliance between Jews and blacks in the United States came into being, and how it came to be broken. Concentrating on the period since the Second World War, the author describes the rise and fall of the black-Jewish coalition through biographies of three blacks and four Jews who were deeply involved in the civil-rights movement.

this is an interesting site. A holocaust denial website.

I watched a bit from Israel showing Israeli soldiers removing settlers from Gaza. One of the soldiers was black. Black Jews is something I was unaware of when I was growing up. I think about Jesse Jackkson's Hymie town quote.

boho, you have rang a chorus of words more truer than those of tresured scholars. Racism is poison. It spreads and devours it's host in spite of genetic make-up.
