Cool Audio Search Engine

Post by Scootertrash » October 13th, 2005, 8:28 pm

If you like streaming music you're gonna love this:

http://www.id1g1t.com/s1/

Just type in the name of the artist, album, or even song title you'd like to listen to and hit the search and it brings it right up...very cool, and the coolest thing about it is that it is free.
Yeah, you read that right: F-R-E-E

For example: if you type Etta James in the artist's search these albums come up that you can choose to listen to.

Etta James - Billboard Top R&B Hits - 1955
Etta James - Pleasantville
Etta James - Twelve Songs Of Christmas
Etta James - Songs Of Janis Joplin: All Blues'd Up
Etta James - Her Best
Etta James - Heart of a Woman
Etta James - A Decade of Chicago's Finest
Etta James - The Chess Blues-Rock Songbook
Etta James - Chess Soul - A Decade of Chicago's Finest
Etta James - The Muscle Shoals Sound
Etta James - Essential Women in Blues
Etta James - Fish Tree Water Blues
Etta James - Back to the Future
Etta James - Sister Act
Etta James - A Jazz Noel
Etta James - Northern Exposure: Music from the TV Series
Etta James - Sirens of Song: Classic Torch Singers
Etta James - Smooth Grooves: The '60s, Vol. 1 Early '60s
Etta James - Time After Time
Etta James - Matriarch of the Blues
Etta James - Blue Gardenia
Etta James - At Last
Etta James - Burnin' Down The House
Etta James - Let's Roll
Etta James - Wedding Jazz Album: First Dances

Zillions of great groups and albums in there, from ABBA to ZAPPA and it goes waayyyyyy back in time so you can get your 50s and 60s groove on big time.

Our Trailer Park computer science engineers are currently feverishly searching for and perfecting software which will enable burning to cd and when that's accomplished we'll make that available so you'll be able to burn yourself up the greatest cd collections in the history of the world. Maybe the history of the solar system OR MAYBE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!

This is fantastic!

I'm been listening to Willie Nelson's "Milk Cow Blues" album where he teams up with BB King, Dr. John, Jonny Lang, Susan Tedeschi and others..... Excellent!

There's like every artist in the world on this thing!

Can't save 'em though... they stream in... but that's just fine!

(PS- For burning CDs, I use iTunes - available for both Mac and PC)

Thanks so much, Scoot! I will permenantly bookmark this site and visit many times to listen to music!

i typed in 'Jerry Garcia' and the wonderful streamer said, no way - too many, over 50, re-search.

so, i typed in 'Jerry Garcia' 'Pizza Tapes' and i got the same message.
i need to get specific. i'll need to wake up before i type in something else. focus and then i'll re-try.
thanks, scootertrash. Trust you to find these treasures.

Huh...I typed in Jerry Garcia (no quotation marks) and got these:

Album Search Results: Jerry Garcia

Click Cd Name to load the Album Tracks

Jerry Garcia - Cats Under the Stars
Jerry Garcia - Garcia
Jerry Garcia - Jerry Garcia Band
Jerry Garcia - The Pizza Tapes
Jerry Garcia - Jerry Garcia and David Grisman
Jerry Garcia - 100% Handmade Music Vol V.
Jerry Garcia - Live on Letterman [Music from the Late Show]

there's so much there....tons of Woody Guthrie, and some really old folk stuff, anthologies of Woody's comtemporaries and newer artists...also, never had so much Coltrane at my finger tips either...very cool....

Oh, Trashy One

You have succeeded in wasting another eight or ten hours of my time

What a great resource!

I love that place. You can go crazy on any of your favorite artists without cluttering up your hard drive with downloads.

Ooohhhhh yeahhhhhh...where the hell else on the net can you cop the late great Nervous Norvus crooning Transfusion

Transfusion
Nervous Norvus

ZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM
Tooling down the highway doing 79
I'm a twin pipe papa and I'm feelin fine
Hey man dig that was that a red stop sign
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
Transfusion, transfusion
I'm just a solid mess of contusions
Never, never, never gonna speed again
Slip the blood to me, Bud

I jump in my rod about a quarter to nine
I gotta make a date with that chick of mine
I cross the center line man you gotta make time-
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
Transfusion, transfusion
Oh, man, I got the cotton pickin convolutions
Never, never, never gonna speed again
Shoot the juice to me, Bruce

My foot's on the throttle and it's made of lead
But I'm a fast ridding daddy with a real cool head
I'ma gonna pass a truck on the hill ahead-
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
Transfusion, transfusion
My red corpsuckles (sic) are in mass confusion
Never, never, never gonna speed again
Pass the crimson to me, Jimson

I took a little drink and I'm feelin right
I can fly right over everything everything in sight
There's a slow poking cat I'm gonna pass him on the right
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
Transfusion, transfusion
I'm a real gone paleface and that's no illusion
I'ma never never never gonna speed again
Pass the claret to me, Barrett

A rollin down the mountain on a rainy day
Oh, when you see me coming better start to pray
I'm a cuttin' up the road and I'm the boss all the way
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
Transfusion, transfusion
Oh, doc, pardon me for this crazy intrusion
I'm never, never, never gonna speed again
Pump the fluid in me, Louie

I'm burning up the highway early this morn
I'm passing everybody oh nothing but corn
Man outa my way I don't drive with my horn
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
Transfusion, transfusion
Oh, nurse I'm gonna make a new resolution
I'm never, never, never gonna speed again
Put a gallon in me, Alan

Oh, barnyard drivers are found in two classes
Line crowding hogs and speeding jackasses
So rememmber to slow down today
Hey, daddy-o
A make that type O, huh
Atta-boy
(Scrreeech-BANG, tinkle)
